  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup almonds soaked and peeled
  • 1 cup walnuts soaked and peeled
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup sugar alter according to taste
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • A few strands of saffron
  • Sliced almonds to garnish


  1. First, put a pan with milk and sugar on a low flame
  2. While cooking, add shredded coconut with 30 ml water in a food processor and blend. Remove the paste and strain till you have reduced coconut milk
  3. Repeat the process once more if required and until you have a cup of strained coconut milk
  4. Next, add the almonds and walnuts with water and keep blending till it forms a fine paste
  5. Add both the coconut milk and nut paste into the milk and stir till all incorporated
  6. Put a pinch of turmeric powder and some strands of saffron. Keep stirring till the drink turns a light yellow
  7. Serve and garnish with sliced almonds
