The Best Indian Buffet in Town – Absolute Barbecues

Last Updated on April 5, 2016 by

Visited Absolute Barbecues with my family yesterday. It is located inside Sidra Tower in Dubai Media City. My dad was having a bit of trouble with the location so he called the restaurant up. The person was very helpful with the location details and we reached the building in no time.

This restaurant has an interesting concept with various types of starters. The live grill, which is placed on the table, had pieces of mutton, chicken, and fish on skewers. These are 90% cooked and 10% raw. Although this has been in India for quite some time, this was the first restaurant I visited with this technique.

The second part was the wish grill. This allows you to make a mixture using turkey, prawns, squid and quail. We made an interesting combination with prawns, jalapeños, and other spices. There was also a chat area that served Pani puri.
We were also served crispy corn and cheesy potatoes at various point during our meal. I loved the potatoes. It tasted delicious, creamy and the potatoes had a nice crunch.

The buffet table consisted of soups, salads, and the main course dishes. I really liked the chicken biryani.

Coming to the dessert, there was a variety there as well. What I loved the most, were the Indian desserts and the Signature chocolate cake. The texture of the cake was rich, creamy and very chocolatey. I also liked the mango mousse. The ice creams they had, were of mediocre quality.

Overall, the Absolute Barbecues isIMG_20150429_144908 quite worth the price you pay. The dishes are delicious, seating spacious and comfortable, and the servers are very polite and helpful. A highly recommended restaurant.
