Taking us to the streets of Europe – Mercato, DIFC

I’d like to think of DIFC as an up and coming version of Citywalk. Chic and housing a number of well-known places to dine in Dubai. A recent visit led us to a hidden trattoria going by the name – Mercato.

What’s cooking at Cucina?

It is no uncommon feat that a new restaurant opens its doors in Dubai every now and then. But what happens to those already prevailing, you may ask. They get sidetracked by the new, trendy ventures which almost have no authenticity of the cuisine served at all. It is when hidden gems that deserve so much more are lost and never heard of. This is a story similar to that of Cucina, located at JW Marriott Hotel Dubai. Continue reading “What’s cooking at Cucina?”

Donelli Sparkling Juice

This post may seem different to you, it’s not about a restaurant nor a recipe. But it is a beverage that I happened to come across lately. Continue reading “Donelli Sparkling Juice”

The Media Lounge (TML) – Dubai Media City

Tucked between the high rise buildings in Dubai Media City exists a hidden gem that goes by the name The Media Lounge. Clients of Yalla Eat, an upcoming food ordering website, The Media Lounge were welcoming hosts to my guest and me. Continue reading “The Media Lounge (TML) – Dubai Media City”

Chef Stefano’s Table at Sicilia, Movenpick Ibn Battuta Gate

I have to say, I know quite little about the Movenpick hotels. The fact that I only got to know one existed as Ibn Battuta Gate when an invite popped into my inbox, bears testament to it.  Continue reading “Chef Stefano’s Table at Sicilia, Movenpick Ibn Battuta Gate”

And does your coffee seem to lose itself providing no flavour at all? Yes, happened to me too. Continue reading “Tiramisu With A Twist! (Non-Alcoholic)”

The Perfect Host – Hosteria, JLT

I’ve been visiting a lot of Italian restaurants lately. And like how “with experience comes knowledge”, I have learnt to distinguish between the authentic and the…not so authentic ones. Continue reading “The Perfect Host – Hosteria, JLT”

The Eatalian Way – Eataly, DFC

How do you guys feel about visiting restaurants located in malls? I feel they’re best for stopping by during your shopping hours for a quick bite. Or someplace you’d want to head to when you’re in for an extremely casual meal. Continue reading “The Eatalian Way – Eataly, DFC”

A Taste of Italy – Sapori Di BiCE, Citywalk

Citywalk has recently expanded to create a Phase 2. Although it’s been around for quite some time, I hadn’t had the opportunity to visit the place up until now.

Sapori Di BiCE stands amongst the throng of restaurants situated at Citywalk. There are quite a few cuisines available and the area resembles The Walk at JBR or the more recent development – Boxpark. Continue reading “A Taste of Italy – Sapori Di BiCE, Citywalk”
