Health Factory Diaries

Didn’t write yesterday and decided to combine both posts cause well, people just get busy with life. Today I had to cover an event in Dubai Mall, details of which will be posted soon on the blog!

Anyway, if you’ve had the time, you must have seen how I’ve been into eating healthy nowadays. Because of which, I’ve posted a few healthy recipes of mine too. Go have a look on the homepage.

Getting back to topic, here’s how my two days of meals from Health Factory fared:

Breakfast – Chicken Tikka sandwich for Day 4. I was finally relieved to have something different from the past three days of egg whites for breakfast. The sandwich tasted just right and had a little spice too. Something that was missing in the past few meals.

On Day 5, I had Fruit and Nut Pancakes with Fruttolo Yoghurt. And damn, these were good. The pancakes were soft and dry on their own, but accompanied with the yoghurt and they taste delicious. Health Factory also gives me an extra 100 calories of mixed nuts, which I decided to top this dish with.

Lunch – I was very satisfied with my seafood risotto accompanied with broccoli salad and a mango smoothie for an afternoon snack.

I didn’t have the meal sent on Day 5 as it was my cheat meal! And, also covering an event as mentioned above. Though, my sister who tasted it thought it was quite well done and filling. Th paprika chicken was a good combination with brown rice and veggies.

Dinner – For Day 4, my dinner consisted of vegetarian enchiladas and a mushroom soup. A comforting dinner indeed.

Day 5 ended with a French-dip Steak Sandwich. The beef seemed a bit hard and I couldn’t finish it.

The great part is, I’ve already started seeing changes in myself. I’ve managed to lose 1 kg by just eating 1300 calories a day and a little walking in less than a week! Hoping to continue this and reach my target weight.

Until then, happy eating! xx

Health Factory Diaries – Day 3

IMG_6063

  • Breakfast 10:30 – Spanish breakfast burrito AND Asian Fruit salad (Orange, Pineapple & Melon)

IMG_6065

I received little rolls of this breakfast burrito. Since I had fruit salad at the same time, this managed to fill me up. The burrito was stuffed with egg whites and is delicious although a bit bland. Add some pepper salt and you have a nice breakfast!

  • Lunch 14:30 – Beef satay with soya sauce with stir fried vegetable noodles AND  Organic eggplant salad (baked eggplants marinated with herbs)

I started with the eggplant salad without their dressing which was lemon based. Then, moved on to the noodles and beef satay. The beef here was a little hard to bite into.

After some struggle, I finally cleaned up my bowl. If you’re opting for this plan, be sure to choose rice or noodles for lunch as it helps to fill you up for long.

  • Snack 2 17:00 –

Being a lover of all kinds of smoothies, this obviously was the part I was looking forward to. Today, I had a Yogoberry Smoothie.

IMG_6103

  • Dinner – Korean Beef bulgogi served with rice & steamed vegetables AND Butternut Squash and Apple Soup

Rice and beef sauce with sesame seeds and steamed vegetables. Definitely like comfort food, something I’d love to catch a recipe of. Sadly, the soup wasn’t much to my liking but it sure helped me during this chilly weather.

Health Factory Diaries – Day 2

I had a late night yesterday due to which, my morning started late too.

IMG_5979

  • Breakfast and Snack 1 was had at the same time at 11:00 – Greek frittata

This looked the same as yesterday’s breakfast. Although, some changes could be seen. The frittata had spinach. Upon taking a bite, I felt it was a bit bland. But the pieces of sausage in between made it appealing to have.

IMG_5983

This was followed directly by the Fruit Surprise that included Melon, Mango and Plums today.

IMG_6021

  • Lunch 14:00 – Grilled fish with tomato parsley sauce and roasted potatoes & vegetables AND Cole Slaw with Caraway Ranch Dressing AND Organic Roasted Tomato Soup

Health Factory seems to have a good Chef. I totally loved my lunch. Unlike yesterday, the portion was quite decent today. The grilled fish and veggies filled me up with my tangy tomato sauce. Too bad I didn’t taste the parsley in the sauce much when I was having it, it just seemed like lemon butter.

IMG_6024

  • Snack 2 16:30 -Coffee Date Smoothie

After a hearty lunch, this wasn’t really required for. I finished half drink and stored the other half for dinner. Strangely, I didn’t taste coffee in it, this felt like a dates smoothie.

  • Dinner 20:30- Turkish moussaka (Eggplant & minced beef with white sauce)

Okay, I’m actually too full now. The moussaka was mostly minced beef on a bed of eggplants that helped the meal from being dry. Though small, it has definitely filled me up. I also had the coleslaw from my lunch and the Coffee Date Smoothie.

Looking forward to tomorrow! Until then, happy eating! xx

Health Factory Diaries – Day 1

Hello, folks!

So I’ve collaborated with Health Factory to give you guys some insight about their nutritional meals that they deliver around Dubai every day. I’ve taken on the challenge to complete a week of their Miracle Program.

IMG_5940IMG_5942

“Miracle” is a metabolism booster. Your system mobilizes its fat stores with 3 meals and 2 snacks throughout the day. This will accelerate the weight loss with as little effort as possible.

IMG_5946

First, they forwarded me a client information sheet where I had to enter all details regarding my height, weight, and dietary requirements. Next was a phone call from their nutritionist who chatted with me about the meals. The last step is choosing your meals from their menu and there! You just have to sit back and enjoy what’s to come at your doorstep each day.

I’ve decided to record my thoughts on all meals on a daily basis and here’s how it goes.

IMG_5949

Day 1:

  • Breakfast at 10:00 – Herbed egg white with roasted cherry tomatoes served with Arabic bread.

This tastes good, I could taste the parsley with the egg white. Although, the cherry tomatoes were found missing from the scene.

IMG_5952

  • Sunrise Mix (Peach and grapes Mix)

I had this around 10:30. Since my delivery time was 9:45 AM, I decided to have the egg white and the fruits the same time.

IMG_5953IMG_5959

  • Lunch 14:00 – Beef cannelloni with peas and mushrooms AND Organic California salad (Iceberg, fig, cherry tomato, green bell pepper, chives, lemon juice and olive oil) AND Cream of Broccoli

I started the meal with the Cream of Broccoli. It tasted well, just the consistency of the soup was a little runny. And of course, I get it. It’s supposed to be healthy. I added some coriander leaves, which really helped enhance the flavour.

Moving on to the cannelloni, THIS was great! At first, I was a bit sceptical looking at all the cheese on top. But as I dug in, I had no words. It was over before I knew it. Just 350 calories for this is kind of hard to believe, though…

Since I was full enough for lunch, I decided to keep my salad for dinner. I was already going to have some proteins, and veggies would do great with it.

IMG_5966

  • Mango and Apricot Smoothie 16:30 –

This came in a medium sized bottle. I really like how Health Factory has their packaging done. It’s neat and the bottles can come in handy for other uses.

The smoothie filled me up. I didn’t finish it entirely as my little sister wanted some too. Well, being mango lovers, this one was definitely something we liked.

IMG_5967IMG_5972

  • Dinner 19:45 – Honey Mustard Chicken served with mashed potato & steamed vegetables

The last meal of my day started with some Organic California Salad. Fresh lettuce and figs and green bell peppers. The chicken was cooked well and soft, topped with a light honey mustard sauce, what’s not to like about it?

So far, I’m quite liking this diet. Three meals with two snacks leave no time to feel hungry. You feel like you’re full all the time. Although it’s a bit hard in the morning till lunch. But I can get used to that 🙂

Until then! xx
