Valentine’s came by a few days ago. Though I didn’t have any plans, I enjoyed the day working on not one, but two overnight oats recipes! You all know my love for oats and how they are so versatile and can be added to almost anything.
They are easy to make, healthy and taste delicious. The best part is, you can change the recipe using your own ingredients too. So, this weekend I present you a cool and a hot drink. Enjoy!
Maple Overnight Oats:

Maple Overnight Oats
Ingredients
- 1 cup oats
- 1-2 dates pitted and chopped
- a pinch cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1 cup low fat milk
- nuts or chocolate syrup for topping
Instructions
-
Add in all ingredients except toppings in the serving glass/ jar
-
Keep it overnight or around four hours (until the oats are soaked with milk)
-
Add toppings in the form of berries, nuts or a drizzle of chocolate or maple syrup. Serve chilled.
See the pinnable version below:
Hot Chocolate Oats
- 1 cup oats
- 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup low fat milk
- honey to taste
Add in the mentioned ingredients in serving glasses or jars. Hot chocolate oats are served warm and are a perfect alternative to coffee or tea. Especially when the weather is cool, I like to make myself one and curl up with a book in hand. You can also try Turtle Overnight Oats and have it warm. Trust me, you’ll love it!
How do you like your oats? Let me know in the comments below 🙂
