With the recent development of social media and the need to carve the perfect Instagram feed, I have compiled a list of the most Instagrammable places in Dubai to help you get the best pictures in the city.
What is the term “instagrammable” though? Urban Dictionary describes it as “A photo or a picture that is worth posting on Instagram“. It is not uncommon to see people searching for the best photography places in Dubai just to get a snap of it on their feeds. And why not? This city has just been coming up with the cutest cafes and spots that can serve as some of the most photogenic places in Dubai.
Find below a list of some of my favorite Dubai photo spots in no particular order. Feel free to let me know your favorite photography locations in Dubai so I can add them to this list!

15 Most Instagrammable Places in Dubai:
-
Explore the historic side of Dubai
If you are a tourist in Dubai, visiting Old Dubai is one of the things you must do. The location has some must-see attractions like the Spice Souq, Dubai Museum, Al Bastakhiya, and the newly constructed Al Seef that you wouldn’t see in most lists of Dubai photography spots.

If you’re someone that doesn’t like to plan tours yourself, book a fantastic tour of Old Dubai to experience its culture and history with an English/ German guide to walk you through the tour. Get your tickets here!
Tip: Visit the cheap eats/ street food to try the local food of Dubai. I recommend indulging in felafels, shawarma, and the famous Karak tea. Click here to read a full guide on what to eat in old Dubai
If you’re planning to visit Dubai, don’t forget to check out some affordable hotels here.

Street Art at Citywalk and La Mer
The next on the list of the most Instagrammed places in Dubai are City Walk and La Mer. Both have been popularly known for their mesmerizing street art and it is difficult to walk past them without clicking a picture. It sure gets hot during the summer months but City Walk also has indoor areas if you’re looking to shop and grab something to eat.
Other than being one of the coolest places in Dubai to click a picture, both the locations house a wide range of restaurants to choose from as you walk by. My current favorite is SLAB at La Mer. While City Walk has some fantastic concepts like Lima from Virgilio Martinez, owner of one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

Take your Instagram feed up a notch with the most Instagrammable cafes in Dubai
It is no secret that some of the top cafes in Dubai are focusing on decorating their interiors in a way that it is Instagram worthy! We have some up and coming floral cafes like Secret Garden by L’eto and Jolie Cafe that are every Instagrammer’s dream come true!
If you are not one for flowers, visit the most Instagrammable cafe in Dubai; Tania’s Teahouse. It’s all pink and as the name suggests, serves a range of teas. You might feel like you’ve stepped into a teenage girl’s closet at first, but then you get used to it! (Or, if you’re like me and love everything pink, you will just be fine)
My close second favorites are Parker’s (for the ‘grammable food) and Culinary Boutique (for coffee and vibe)

Burj Khalifa had to make the list or even Mall of the Emirates!
It would be a shame to talk about Instagram worthy places in Dubai and not mention the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa! There are some great places to shoot the tower from; City Walk, Downtown Dubai, The Dubai Mall, and even Palace Downtown is a lovely spot if you want Burj Khalifa in your frame. What’s better is taking that tour inside Burj Khalifa and watching Dubai under your feet!
I’m glad I experienced visiting the tallest building in the world and dined there! If you would like to know more about At.mosphere, read on here.
Tip: I found some affordable skip-the-line tickets to visit Burj Khalifa here.

Most people neglect Mall of the Emirates in Barsha where this spot is perfectly photogenic and according to me, one of the underrated hidden gems in Dubai. Have you spotted this place before?
-
Burj Al Arab
If we’re talking about the must-see places in Dubai, Burj Al Arab should definitely not be missed. Yes, if you don’t have the budget then you won’t be able to see the interiors which are definitely worth spending for.
But, you can get lovely exterior views of the sail-shaped building from Kite Beach and Souk Madinat Jumeirah. This is also one of Dubai most instagrammable places. I’ve seen numerous photo shoots happening on the beach so get the tower in your Dubai Instagram feed
-
Dubai Creek Harbor
Another one from famous Dubai Instagram places is Dubai Creek Harbor. This is, THE perfect place to get the whole skyline of the city with uninterrupted views.
Sure to make your friends jealous of you being one of the coolest Dubai Instagrammers!

Angel Wings near Burj Khalifa
This one is literally located close to Burj Khalifa in an area called Burj Park. Since these angel wings have been installed, they’ve become a viral Instagrammable place in Dubai and soon, everyone was asking “where IS this Insta worthy spot located?” Now you know 🙂

Human Waterfall in Dubai Mall
The Human Waterfall is at The Dubai Mall and runs along its four floors. It is rather hard to miss and both tourists and residents alike love taking pictures of it as it is rightfully one of the Instagrammable spots in Dubai. The waterfalls are 24 meters high and are embellished with human diver sculptures made of fiberglass.
Tip: While most of the pictures shot are in front of it, you can try shooting the waterfall from various angles so it looks pretty unique. Like this picture above.
-
Bluewaters Island
Bluewaters Island opened earlier in 2019 and is proving to be one of the most instagrammable places in Dubai. The place looks like it has taken inspiration from the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, and the highest observation wheel in the world is also present there.
Due to the number of instagrammable cafes in Dubai coming up, I have seen quite a number of people choosing this as a photogenic place in Dubai.
Tip: The place is outdoors and indoors so you can visit even if the weather is hot.
-
Atlantis, The Palm
Anyone coming to Dubai and missing a visit to Atlantis, The Palm Jumeirah has just not seen Dubai fully. When searching for Dubai Instagram spots, you will see why this iconic hotel is one of the top Instagram spots Dubai. The arch is very popular to take pictures, just see how it looks below!

The price is a bit too steep, instead of staying there, visit one of their restaurants! Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen is a nice family-friendly restaurant there.
Else, check out the gorgeous Lost Chambers and probably have a chance to swim with the dolphins?
-
The Pointe, Palm Jumeirah
The Pointe has turned into a major attraction in Dubai these past few days. Mainly, because of the number of restaurants, retail shops, beach, weekend activities, and the stunning view of the Atlantis arch which allows us to take beautiful pictures in Dubai.
At this time, parking is also free and huggee so it doesn’t make a difference even when crowded because you almost always find a parking spot.
Usually getting a picture of the beautiful Atlantis arch is quite difficult with the number of tourists, so The Pointe makes for a nice place to capture this without all that hassle. This is why I felt this venue had to be included in my Instagrammable Dubai guide. If you haven’t been yet, it is truly one of the places to be in Dubai!

Skydive – Palm Jumeirah
Ever seen pictures of people skydiving over Palm Jumeirah? If you want to try this once in a lifetime chance, then don’t wait any longer! I still haven’t mustered up the courage but it is one of my goals soon 🙂
It’s a bit expensive but I say don’t consider that for this golden opportunity to feel the most exhilarated in your life

Dubai Frame
Dubai Frame is literally a humungous frame that showcases one side of old Dubai and the other new side of Dubai. Entering it is pretty affordable and the views are just stunning!
If you can’t head inside, I suggest at least grammin’ the frame from outside. You will be awed by how big it actually is

Dubai Miracle Garden
I would call Dubai Miracle Garden as an underrated place in Dubai. Most tourists won’t agree with me since it is one of the best photo spots Dubai has, but some tourists don’t even know it exists.
For basic know-how, Dubai Miracle Garden is a large park filled with flowers designed in sculptures. It really is a treat to see since Dubai is a desert and for land like this to grow thousands of plants seems impossible!
This is the main reason it remains closed throughout the year and only opens during the winter months. If you are here during then, please do take a visit there 🙂
-
The Desert
Lastly, you can’t visit a desert and not capture the magnificent sands. Either go for a Desert Safari (a totally touristy thing in my opinion) or just take a long drive to the desert area away from the city. You will need a 4×4 car for this though so there are no unpleasant experiences of getting stuck somewhere.

If you’re part of the Desert Safari activity, you will have a chance to also experience henna painting, camel rides, quad biking through the sands, and more. There are lots of packages for the exact type of budget and time you want to spend. Look for more below:

This is such an interesting read! I must admit, I’d never really thought of traveling to Dubai but this post has changed my mind, I particularly love the look of the Dubai miracle garden!!
You found some really great spots for photos in Dubai. I have not seen some of them before as I was last in Dubai in 2012. The angles you picked are excellent.
Gave me some great IG ideas when visiting Dubai! Thanks!
Wow! So many interesting places. I’ve always wanted to visit, or at least do a stopover for a few days, but haven’t been able to make it happen (yet). Hopefully someday!
Some great instagrammable spots! Recognize quite a few in Dubai.
It’s a perfect place. I personally like Angel wings (ake Mexico wings) and Dubai frame. By the way, Madinat Jumeirah is also good photography for casual shots.
