Drunching at La Tablita

Last Updated on February 8, 2018 by hungryoungwoman

You’ve heard of brunch before, but have you heard of drunch?La Tablita, located in Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights, launched a new concept where you can enjoy drunch from 4-6 PM with an unlimited menu and live entertainment at just AED 149 pp.

We were invited to the same a couple of weeks ago. The restaurant is hard to miss from the entrance of the hotel as they have directions marked on the floor. Also, this being my second visit, I already knew that I was being guested to hosts that take their food and entertainment seriously. (Click to read what happened before)

We enter a restaurant that’s almost empty, which bears a stark contrast to my previous experience. After being seated we’re explained about the unlimited menu that serves ceviche, tacos, caldo, and drinks with a mariachi style of live entertainment.

What I initially thought was that this was going to be an “after lunch” meal. Sort of like an extended version of a snack. However, I’m in for a surprise when the plates just keep getting served to the table. The nachos come in first with their dips, two types of ceviche, then the tacos and their innumerable fillings (both veg and non-veg), caldo, and non-alcoholic drinks of three types. What’s fantastic is the fact that they’re unlimited, so you can have a sample of everything and re-order what you like best. Or, all of it again!

Next comes dessert, and this is one of the main reasons I came for. The Tres Leches here is hands down one of my favorite desserts of all time. They also serve signature churros as part of the drunch menu. Best part: It is also unlimited!

It’s safe to say we left La Tablita with a happy heart and a heavy tummy!

If we’re going back: Make sure to keep that Tres Leches high up on your priority list of dishes! The nachos are great too, but don’t let them fill you up too much before the food arrives. It will definitely be worth the wait.
