An Eggceptional Easter at Giardino, Palazzo Versace

Last Updated on March 25, 2019 by hungryoungwoman

Sometimes I think back to how it all began. I had no idea what I was doing when I started blogging around 10 months ago. Not that I know everything now, but since it has been almost a year, I do happen to know a bit.

But, imagine my delight when an invite to Palazzo Versace comes into my inbox. Calm outside but a hopping like a rabbit inside. That was my state!

The place is huge and royal – that’s the word. The interiors are a lovely golden and white. Walking into Giardino, you feel like you’re in another place entirely. The vibe is very relaxed and great for friends and family. As we walked in, we were greeted by the staff and tried their Fruit Punch and Passionfruit Mojito.

The Friday brunch is priced at AED 350 per person including soft beverages and AED 550 with selected house beverages. For this deal, you get a huge multi cuisine brunch with various live counters and a dessert counter.

The highlights of the brunch were dahi poori and sweets from the Indian section, mushroom lasagna from the Italian counter, the grilled salmon, and shrimps with the steak from the Arabic mezze.

Since we visited on Easter weekend, the place was decked up celebrating the occasion. There was a separate counter for all things eggs. Even the dessert section held some beautiful looking treats that looked like a lot of work was put into them.

What’s more? A lovely lady giving boxes of macarons came by shortly followed by an ice cream cart that went to every table personally to take their orders!

Giardino was certainly a lot of fun for all of us and we thoroughly enjoyed! Needless to say, the service was impeccable and timely. The food not really outstanding, but good nonetheless.

If I’m coming back: I would get a bunch of friends to chill out and spend time with. They also have a swimming area outside the restaurant which gives access to visitors to spend some time swimming and then indulge in a hearty meal.

Until then, happy eating! xx
